You probably remember seeing that our last update on PSone Classics coming to Vita wasn’t so great for U.S. Vita owners, with only nine titles being officially compatible at the time of the update. While nowhere near the 100+ titles available to European Vita owners, Siliconera has recently updated this list with a few more officially compatible titles:

Alundra
Arc the Lad II
Championship Bass
Extreme Pinball
Grandia
Hi Octane: The Track Fights Back
Klonoa: Door to Phantomile
Magic Carpet
Medal of Honor
Medal of Honor Underground
Nuclear Strike
Oddworld Abe’s Exxodus
Oddworld Abe’s Oddysee
Populous-The Beginning
R4 Ridge Racer Type 4
Rayman 1
Rayman 2
SimCity 2000
Soviet Strike
Tekken
Tekken 2
Theme Hospital
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six
Tomba!
Vanguard Bandits
Wing Commander IV

Twenty-six titles on top of the nine already available is quite nice and with the likes of Magic Carpet, Tomba! and Grandia making the list, there’s a healthy mix of quality classics now available. With Sony claiming that they’re making the classics compatible “as quickly as possible,” hopefully it won’t be too long before we have full compatibility.

PSone Classics are available to purchase on PSN via PS Vita, or PS3. Already purchased titles can be re-downloaded onto Vita, or transferred from a PS3 at no additional cost.

  • Yeah, I know it is. I've read so many great reviews of it. It's just the matter of time. I've 50 hours deep into both Rainbow Moon and Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention and I've got Persona 3 and Tales of the Abyss sitting right behind both of them.

  • Oh, I didn't mention that I'm already about 5 hours into Dragon Fantasy (iOS) too, did I?

Haha… never enough time to play them all these days. Just never enough time.

  • Oh thank god- at least we get Oddworld, the Strike games, and Alundra. I don't get why Sony is being so ho-hum about PSOne classics- especially when there are so few new games on the Vita.
