Our Frequent Flyer program now has rewards!

So, as some of you noticed, we have set up a Frequent Flyer program at Digitally Downloaded. Basically, if you visit us, comment on our stories and throw in the occasional Tweet, you will earn points. Click on the “Rewards” button on the right hand side for more information.

The news today is that those points can earn you rewards, now. Thanks to our good friends at Nyu Media and Paradox Interactive, we have a selection of great games that are free to anyone who has earned enough points.

From Nyu Media we have an eclectic collection of superb Japanese games that have been lovingly translated for a western audience. From the eXceed Collection to Cherry Tree High Comedy Club, there’s guaranteed to be something for everyone.

Meanwhile, from Paradox Interactive comes the (rightfully) acclaimed strategy game, Crusader Kings II. That’s the kind of game that will sink many, many hours of your life, but you’ll love it for it.

Be sure to check out the Websites for Crusader Kings: http://www.paradoxplaza.com/games/crusader-kings-ii
As well as Nyu Media: http://nyu-media.com/

But don’t go too far! You’ve got points to earn!

Have fun!

Please note this is all new to us, too. Please be patient if there is some kind of error, and contact me at matts@digitallydownloaded.net to let me know what the problem is.

  • Hi Rob,

One other thing, I wanted to make sure you were able to sign up ok for the rewards program. You're not showing up on the leaderboard (unless by some magic I'm not award of you're signed in under a different name), and I wanted to make sure you weren't missing out 🙂

Let me know if you're having any difficulties.

  • Yeah – Having signed in using Facebook it shows me in the leaderboard as Robert Buckley even though the comments section shows my username.

  • Great idea, looking forward to hearing more about it. Though I'm not a big fan of facebook integration, am undecided about signing up.

  • Yeah, sorry about that – that was not by our choice 🙁

We'll just have to work twice as hard to make sure the Rewards compensate for the Facebook integration 🙂

  • That's no problem, it's what PunchTab went with. As with Coffee's comment on the DLC thread, I really do hate having to use facebook, but I'll just create another account. 🙂

  • Aha! It appears that the system has stopped giving out points for comments (since yesterday, probably). Not that I'm achievement-whoring or anything, but WHERES MY POINTZ??!! 😉

  • Yes, I must apologise for this. There seems to be a temporary glitch in the system. Please bear with us while we try and get it sorted 🙂
