Reigns is a swipe ’em up series that does well with collaborations. There have been standalone titles — Reigns, Reigns: Her Majesty, and Reigns: Beyond. There was a collaboration done with a huge franchise — Reigns: Game of Thrones. There has been a title based on a 14th-century historical novel — Reigns: Three Kingdoms. The series is now partnering with another big franchise for its next title, Reigns: The Witcher. It will be released for PC/Mac and mobile devices on in late February.

Reigns: The Witcher is set in the merciless, dark-fantasy world of the award-winning The Witcher series. In the game, players take on the role of Geralt through the ballads of the Dandelion. As the legendary monster slayer, navigate the moral maze and fight for survival through the bard’s drunken ballads. Some card choices include hunting monsters, upsetting the locals, or running a hot bath. Perhaps, one day, Geralt can claim immortality.

Here are the key features of Reigns: The Witcher, via Devolver Digital.

  • A Witcher’s Work is Never Done – The dangerous or demeaning tasks given to you by the world’s colourful inhabitants can rarely be taken at face value. Dandelion’s ballads steer your story in dramatic and peculiar directions, via thousands of storyline combinations.
  • Back Together Again – Familiar faces, including Yen, Triss, and Vesemir, keep you company through memorable adventures retold by the bard.
  • Troubadour On Tour – Perform polished retellings of Geralt’s greatest hits away from the tavern to solve puzzles and unlock new deeds and characters. Level up the bard’s career to create ever more epic plotlines and ultimately achieve legendary status.

Reigns: The Witcher is developed by Nerial and published by Devolver Digital, and is made in partnership with CD Projekt RED. The game will be released for PC/Mac (Steam/GOG) and iOS/Android on February 25.
