The Darkside Detective is back with Backside of the Moon

The Darkside Detective: Backside of the Moon is the next game in the point-and-click adventure game series. Crime never sleeps, so despite missing midday mimosas while on sabbatical, neither can Detective McQueen (without melatonin, anyway).

The game includes six new cases, which the dream team of Detective McQueen and Officer Dooley return to crack wide open. While ready to put the zing in Van Helsing, there appears to be no vampire stories this time around. So the duo set out to explore, gather, combine, point, and click through whatever comes their way. While there are werewolves, cursed items, rituals, and treasure hunts, watch out for the most terrifying monster of all… rich people!

Developed by Spooky Doorway and published by Akupara Games, The Darkside Detective: Backside of the Moon has been announced for PC via Steam.

A new trailer for People of Note features a full musical number

Upcoming turn-based musical RPG People of Notes has revealed one of its full numbers in its Under the Lights trailer. The trailer features the song Under the Lights, sung by the character of Cadence, with musical vocals by LEXXE and voice by Heather Gonzales. The game, where musical numbers meet thrilling combat, follows pop singer Cadence on her quest for stardom.

Here is a description of the game, from Annapurna Interactive:

After being shut out of the Noteworthy Song Contest, Cadence realizes that her solo act might not be enough for the judges. As she travels across Note to the Rock City of Durandis, the EDM City of Lumina, and more, Cadence fills out her band with eclectic and powerful musicians from lands afar. But something’s brewing in the distance…the Harmonic Convergence is playing havoc with the world’s musical energies, and dark forces are working behind the scenes to disrupt Note’s natural harmonies. It wasn’t in the set list, but Cadence and the others need to step up and make sure music itself still has a future on stage.

In People of Note, experience turn-based combat like never before: each battle is an interactive musical performance with evolving combat conditions, real-time rhythm-based attacks, and genre-bending mashup attacks!

Developed by Iridium Studios and published by Annapurna Interactive, People of Note will be released for PC via Steam/Epic/Microsoft, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series in 2026.
