Starting this Thursday, August 30th, there just might be a reason to log back onto PlayStation Home. The PlayStation Blog has revealed that Lockwood’s Mercia: Fractured Realms is finally set to release and with it comes the promise of a gameplay experience that’s much deeper than what we’ve seen before on the platform.
While the exact details are scarce on what’s all on offer here, we do know that it’ll use the a free-to-play (F2P) model, which allows anyone to log on and enjoy themselves, but use microtransaction payments to add additional features to the game. With three character classes on offer: Ranger, Fighter and Defender, it’s guaranteed there will be lots of loot and XP to scavenge for along the way. While we’re waiting, you can check out the game’s preview trailer below:

  • Now all they need to do is start adding trophies to their Home games, even if it's just 1 or 2. 😛 Still, this definitely looks like something more than their standard shooters or old-school arcade emulations.

  • I agree. It looks interesting and it's definitely something that I'm going to give a try. While I'm setting my expectations extremely high, it's still a good addition for PS Home.
