Survival horror game The Florist announced for PC and consoles

Developed by an indie game studio from New Zealand, The Florist follows Jessica Park as she arrives in a lakeside town to make a last-minute delivery. Her poor timing creates a disaster when omnipresent floral overgrowth threatens the town’s survival. Solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and uncover the plan to create new life in the most inhuman way possible.

The town of Joycliffe and its surroundings hold many dark secrets. Players need to find the best path forward, then use an array of hidden objects and cryptic clues to progress. The world is always changing, and as day turns to night, the floral growth presents new foes with evolving abilities. An in-game journal includes key information like story discoveries and floral specimen data.

The Florist is a fresh take on survival horror, with colour and light used instead of grey and darkness. It features difficulty and accessibility options, unlimited inventory, auto-save checkpoints, and hidden content.

Developed and published by Unclear Games, The Florist will be released for PC via Steam and unspecified consoles in 2026.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
