Lost Records: Bloom & Rage launches physically this August

Narrative adventure game originally launched digitally in two parts earlier this year, and is now poised for a physical launch in two months… but only for PlayStation 5. This is a game worthy of physical preservation. It’s got a profound and heartfelt narrative, with your choices having (sometimes heavy) consequences. It has a phenomenal soundtrack featuring Montreal indie musicians. This is the developer that made the first and second Life is Strange titles, so you know you can trust it.

Here is my favourite trailer for the game:

Here is a brief description of the game, from the publisher:

Set in the 1990s, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage follows four high school friends who reunite after 27 years to confront a mysterious event that will change their lives forever. With its emotional storytelling, deep character development, and visually stunning environments, the game has already captivated digital audiences and is now ready to expand its reach with this highly anticipated physical edition.

Developed and published digitally by Don’t Nod/physically by Maximum Entertainment, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is available digitally now for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series. The physical PlayStation 5 version will be released on August 7.

Silent Hill f launches this September

During last week’s PlayStation State of Play, Konami announced that Silent Hill f will be released in September 2025. Take on the role of high school student Shimizu Hinako. She explores her hometown of Ebisugaoka as it becomes engulfed in fog, changing into something from a nightmare. While exploring, she has to solve puzzles and fight for her life. She will also face decisions that shape her fate. Does she embrace beauty, or does she end up insane?

Watch the trailer here.

This trailer showcases four things. First, Silent Hill’s authentic depiction of 1960s Japan and its intricate details. Second, visuals and music that also juxtapose beauty and terror. Third, puzzles that are grounded in anguish and psychological suffering. Fourth, the game’s unique combat is more action-oriented compared to 2024’s Silent Hill 2 remake.

Developed by NeoBards Entertainment and published by Konami, Silent Hill f will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series on September 25.

Final Fantasy Tactics is back!

Square Enix announced an “enhanced” version of PS1’s Final Fantasy Tactics, titled Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles. The dramatic tale of ambition, betrayal, and honour has an enriched script with fully voiced dialogue. The graphics have been improved, and there are quality-of-life updates like difficulty options, a revamped UI, auto-save, and more. But it is still the same game beloved by fans, one that features the strategic, turn-based combat and an elaborate character progression system. There’s even a classic mode if you’re feeling nostalgic!

Square Enix touts Final Fantasy Tactics as being “one of gaming’s greatest stories,” and that’s not an exaggeration. Players will step into the kingdom of Ivalice, a medieval world steeped in political conflict. Uncover the truth behind young noble Ramza Beoulve, whose part in history has been buried.

Developed and published by Square Enix, Final Fantasy Tactics: The Ivalice Chronicles will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch 2, Switch, and Xbox Series on September 30.

The first gameplay trailer for TOEM 2 has arrived

TOEM 2 is a new photo adventure set a few years after the first game. Head off on a “relaxing” adventure… there’s platforming now, and I’m not sure how I feel about that. Anyway, TOEM 2’s first gameplay trailer premiered during Day of the Devs 2025.

While the original featured a 2D environment, TOEM 2 shifts to 3D environments that allows players to climb around, finding new secrets and vantage points.

Developed by Something We Made, TOEM 2 will be released for PC and consoles in 2026.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
