Drag x Drive launches this August
Nintendo has announced that three-on-three sports game Drag x Drive will launch this August, exclusively for Switch 2 and only via the eShop. Shoot hoops using each Joy-Con controller on a surface, like you would a mouse, and use them to move the wheels and drive across the court. Slide both controllers forward to move ahead, or just one controller to pivot. Shoot the ball by raising your hand and flicking your wrist upward. Use the half-pipe to launch into the air to do tricks and dunks for more points.
Here is Nintendo’s description of the online play:
Team up with—or take on—your friends in fast-paced three-on-three matches and show your dual-mouse control skills! Challenge other players and friends online or play alone against computer-controlled opponents to hone your moves. Pulling off those half-pipe tricks is sure to impress your friends!
Drag x Drive will be released on August 14.
What Comes After is receiving a physical PlayStation release
Dolores Entertainment and Tesura Games are collaborating to physically release Pikselnesia and Rolling Glory Jam-developed What Comes After for PlayStation 5 later this year. From the creator of Coffee Talk (RIP Fahmi), it’s a story about love, death, and loving yourself. The game is a love letter to everyone who thinks they’re a burden to others. (Just that sentence makes me want to cry!) The side-scrolling adventure has players helping Vivi on her journey aboard the train to the afterlife and back. This PS5 physical edition includes a poster.
Vivi finds herself on a journey to where people go after they die… to what comes after. The train is filled with the outgoing souls of people, animals, and plants who are willing to teach Vivi about love, regrets, life, and death that haunt us every day until our time is done.
Developed by Pikselnesia and Rolling Glory Jam, and published by Dolores Entertainment and Tesura Games, What Comes After will be released physically for PlayStation 5 this (Northern) fall. It is currently available digitally for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
DLC is coming to Chained Echoes
Award-winning JRPG hit Chained Echoes will be expanded with upcoming official story DLC, Ashes of Elrant. It provides fans more of what they loved: a new land to explore, dozens of new monsters, and 15 new music tracks. There’s also a fishing mini-game, which is described as not so mini.
The DLC story is set before the final fight in the game. Leave Valandis for the land of Elrant, where the Clan of the Crimson Wings have been summoned to help. While not set in Valandis, the DLC provides more background for the area. It also gives players a closer look at the characters and their motivations. And someone really special within the history of Valandis will join the game’s cast.
Developed by Matthias Linda’s new Studio, Umami Tiger, and published by Desk13 Spotlight, the Ashes of Elrant DLC for Chained Echoes will be released for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, and Xbox One on August 7. The base game is available now.
Two Point Museum’s Fantasy Finds DLC launches soon
Simulation game Two Point Museum is currently in the middle of its summer of new, free content, but that doesn’t mean it can’t also receive some proper DLC! Its first, Fantasy Finds, brings players into a world of medieval fantasy. A new fantasy-themed expedition map has 40 exhibits to discover. These magical artifacts aren’t just pretty: they will provide guests with positive blessings as long as they are well-maintained. Otherwise, your guests will end up cursed. Due to the fantasy realm, special experts are required to discover these new magical exhibits on your expeditions. You’ll need to hire Fantasy Experts from Barbarian, Wizard, Rogue or Bard classes.
Fantasy Finds isn’t only the new expedition and exhibits. It also includes three new guest archetypes, 26 decorations and utility items, interactive displays, banners, wallpapers, floors, a fantasy-themed helicopter paint job, and more.
Developed by Two Point Studios and published by SEGA, Two Point Museum’s Fantasy Finds DLC will be released on July 17. The base game is available now for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series; it will launch for Switch 2 this year.
