Activision made the announcement over Twitter today that the highly anticipated HD melange that is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD will hit PSN and XBL at mid-Summer.

The game is kind of a restart for the once super-popular series of skateboarding games and combines many of the elements of past releases into one game to rule them all. Or something like that.

Fans can expect to get down and grind some rails on levels from past Hawk games this July the 18th on Xbox Live for a cool 1200mspts. What about the Playstation Network, you ask? Well, Tony won’t be popping any tricks over there till “a few weeks after that”.

So figure… August-ish?

  • Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 and Underground 2 (I liked the levels) are my two favorite Tony Hawk games. This is a must-have for me.
