"However, the original on the Virtual Console is still a very competent package."
I remember playing the original 64 version with one of my cousins and we had a blast playing it.
"Unless you seek optical grandeur or need your talking animals on the go, Star Fox 64 on the Virtual Console is more or less as outstanding as the 3DS remake. There’s more than enough content to justify the price tag for those willing to play beyond the end screen."
I agree about the Virtual Console version, and I feel it is probably even the better buy than the 3DS version, simply because the 3DS version did not update enough with the game IMO. By leaving out an ONLINE multiplayer component, it's like they only updated the graphics on 10 year old+ game, and failed to bring it to today's standards with online multiplayer. Then they slapped a $40 price tag on it…where's the ripoff sign?
OHHH, there it is! V
I always liked this game. It was a bit on the short side, but a lot of fun.
