Alan Wake gets less King and more Tarantino

The new developer diary from the good folks at Remedy sheds a little more light on the upcoming downloadable sequel to Alan Wake, American Nightmare, and just how it is that it came to be.

Pretty interesting stuff. Originally meant to be strictly ‘survivor mode’ affair, the developers got a little ahead of themselves and went ahead and made an almost full fledged sequel. Interesting too, is that they describe the game as having a much more Quentin Tarantino, Dusk till Dawn, flavor that contrasts the original’s strong Stephen King vibe.

Whatever you want to say about Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, it sure does look good. The game launches very soon as part of the Xbox Live House Party promotion- click right here to read all about it.
