Last Thursday, FuturLab released the Adventure Time DLC pack for PowerWash Simulator 2. While PowerWash Simulator has loads of DLC available, this is the first for its sequel. In Adventure Time’s fun, colourful world, players scrub the goo down the Land of Ooo and restore it to its former glory. Read texts from familiar characters, interact with BMO, and use a scissor lift made entirely from stretchy Jake the Dog.
There are five locations available: Tree House Living Room, Pizza Sassy’s, Ice King’s Castle, Candy Vehicles, and the Tree House. Each location has been faithfully recreated and packed with messy mayhem. As one of Princess Bubblegum’s hastily-created Royal Candy Cleaners, players wield a new, candy-coated washer.
Developed and published by FuturLab, PowerWash Simulator 2 is available for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series. The Adventure Time DLC is now available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series; the Switch 2 version will launch in the coming weeks.
Short adventure game Find Your Words is now available
Capybara Games has announced the release of its short communication adventure game, Find Your Words, available for free on PC in English. Other languages may be added this year, and the game will also be released on other platforms. In the colourful summer camp adventure, communication happens without words. Players build a community by creating new friendships and exploring the scenic location. Collect symbols and learn that different combinations of symbols have unique meanings.
Find Your Words was built with feedback from speech-language pathologists and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) users.
“Find Your Words started as a fun project to celebrate our boys and the journey that they both have been on to find their voices using symbols,” said co-creator Jon Maur in a press release
“We’re super proud of what we’ve built, but what we have is just a snapshot of AAC representation,” said co-creator Vic Nyugen. “We hope this sparks players to learn more about the different ways humans communicate.”
Developed and published by Capybara Games, Find Your Words is available for PC via Steam.
Pluralys has left the Early Access stage
Montreal-based indie studio Ivalys Studios has announced that cozy RPG game Pluralys has left Early Access and launched fully for PC and Mac. The game has an interesting twist from most RPGs: it swaps combat mechanics for meaningful connections and impactful dialogue. Players are challenged to use empathy, decisions, and a mysterious time-stopping pager instead.
Take on the role of Elie, a 16-year-old who loves RPGs, board games, and living a peaceful life in Sector G. One day begins as all the others, but quickly changes when he receives a desperate, cryptic message from an unknown sender. Soon, Elie will be sent across the world where humans and creatures called Zeings co-exist.
Here are the game’s key features, via Ivalys Studios:
- Bend time with Pluralys’ signature pager, a unique tool which lets players pause reality, move objects, analyze thoughts, intentions and emotions, phase through certain glass surfaces and hack security systems and computers, etc…
- Explore a lived-in world filled with challenges and mini-games.
- Form relationships with humans and Zeings alike, each with their own unique stories, secrets and motivations.
- Take part in meaningful conversations and face the consequences of your decisions as you progress.
- Enjoy a vibrant 2D aesthetic inspired by classics like Pokémon, Final Fantasy and The Legend of Zelda.
Developed and published by Ivalys Studios, Pluralys is available for PC/Mac via Steam.
11 bit studios announced weird, dark game, Crop
If Twin Peaks and Stardew Valley had a baby with a little help from H.P. Lovecraft, and that baby made a game about farming, you’d get Carbonara Games’ Crop, being published by 11 bit studios. It is a single-player game that blends farming and management sims with a dark descent into psychological horror.
Here is a description of the game, via 11 bit studios:
Crop is a single-player experience that blends the familiar rhythms of farming and management sims with a dark, story-driven descent into mystery and psychological horror. Set against an atmospheric agricultural backdrop, players plant, harvest, and manage their land while unravelling a deeply unsettling narrative centred on self-destructive behaviour. What begins as a routine cycle of growth and upkeep gradually twists into something far more ominous, pulling players into an eerie mix of investigation, time and inventory management, and slow-burning tension. Designed for fans of farming games as well as thriller and mystery experiences, Crop offers a haunting take on the genre where every task carries a growing sense of unease.
Developed by Carbonara Games and published by 11 bit studios, Crop has been announced for PC via Steam.
