Spooky Doorway and Raw Fury have announced that supernatural detective mystery game The Séance of Blake Manor will be released for consoles just in time for Halloween; it has been available for PC since last October. The game is set during Halloween 1897, when a group of mystics gather in Ireland to tear open the veil between worlds and speak to the dead. But 48 hours before the séance, Evelyn Deane goes missing. A detective is called to find her and uncover the kidnapper before someone else disappears.
In the game, Detective Declan Ward heads to Blake Manor to interview and interrogate a group of suspects, learning about their motivations and investigating them to uncover hidden clues. Record details, then make connections and cross-reference your evidence to solve Evelyn Deane’s disappearance and unearth the truth about the hotel.
The Séance of Blake Manor is inspired by Irish mythology. Each character has their own secrets and stories. The influence of Victorian-era Ireland can be found in the game’s themes of religion, class divide and the supernatural. The gameplay features immersive detective mechanics that allow you to make logical leaps to find clues and contradictions. Impactful choices are made through branching dialogue, changing how you might solve the mystery.
Here are the game’s key features, via its Steam page:
- Embark on an ongoing mystery inspired by Irish Mythology and the spiritualist movements of the Victorian era.
- Explore an ancient manor full of dark secrets and environmental puzzles where time is your most valuable currency.
- Elicit the truth from a host of suspects using immersive detective mechanics
Developed by Spooky Doorway and published by Raw Fury, The Séance of Blake Manor will be released for PlayStation 5, Switch 2, and Xbox Series on October 27. It is currently available for PC via Steam.
