It may have been over a decade since its launch, but The Wolf Among Us remains one of my core gaming experiences. The Wolf Among Us Remastered is the definitive edition of the game, adding a new Noir mode that turns the thriller into a black-and-white experience. This release also includes an hour of bonus content, such as cast interviews, playable deleted scenes, and behind-the-scenes moments. The Wolf Among Us Remastered will launch in late October for PC and consoles.
Here is a description of the game, via PM Studios:
Based on Bill Willingham’s Eisner Award-winning FABLES comic series, The Wolf Among Us follows Bigby Wolf, Sheriff of Fabletown, as he investigates a grisly murder that threatens to expose a hidden community of fairy tale characters living secretly within 1980s Manhattan. What begins as a single crime draws Bigby into an increasingly dangerous mystery where everyone has secrets and something far darker may be lurking beneath the surface of the city.
The Wolf Among Us was originally released episodically: Faith, Smoke & Mirrors, A Crooked Mile, In Sheep’s Clothing, and Cry Wolf. You investigate crimes, interrogate suspects, and make difficult decisions that often have lasting consequences. This remaster features enhanced visuals, refined character and environment presentation, an updated user interface, upgraded animation and audio, higher resolutions, and smoother performance.
Noir Mode makes the game monochromatic, which plays well with the mystery, moral ambiguity, and noir atmosphere at the heart of the game.
Developed by Telltale Games and co-published by PM Studios, The Wolf Among Us Remastered will be released digitally for PC via Epic/Steam, PlayStation 5, Switch 2, Switch, Xbox Series, and Xbox One on October 29. Physical versions will follow in Q1 2027.
