A demo is available for There Are No Ghosts at the Grand

Friday Sundae has released a demo for its musical mystery narrative adventure game, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand. In the game, you inherit a dilapidated English hotel. Restore it by day and battle hosts at night. The game belongs to a unique genre, and in keeping with that theme, it features a sardonic cat, a talking power tool, and a twisting supernatural plot. Each character you meet has their own story and song, from spooky ska to wartime jazz to skater punk.

At night, your special power tools transform into weapons (how Boyfriend Dungeon of them) to use against vengeful spirits. Set the vacuum to suck them up, use the paint sprayer to expose invisible assailants, and use a well-aimed bookcase in the furniture canon to subdue your enemies. As you explore, the Lovecraftian mystery unravels.

Developed and published by Friday Sundae, There Are No Ghosts at the Grand will be released for PC and Xbox Series in 2026. Additional platforms will be announced at a later date. The demo is available via Steam.
