Onion Games has announced that the English localization of RPG Stray Children will be released for PC as well as Nintendo Switch sometime this year. This is the first time it is coming to Steam, as it has only launched in Japan for Nintendo Switch last December. And if you haven’t heard of Onion Games, take note! It is the studio behind Moon: Remix RPG Adventure and has contributed to games such as Little King’s Story and Super Mario RPG. Stray Children follows you, a child, as you are sucked into a world inhabited by children, but outside it walls lurks monstrous adults known as The Olders.

Stray Children is set in a wondrous, comical world made up of strange children and stranger adults. A Spinning Roulette shapes your choices and fate. You will have to dodge The Olders’ brutal attacks, caused by their bottled-up emotions. Then whisper magical words to rescue their corrupted souls.

Here is a description of Stray Children, from Onion Games:

One day, in a secret room, in a secret place, a boy gets sucked into a TV, and wakes up in a strange world where only children live.

Rumours spread amongst the children about The Olders, the adults living outside their safe-guarded walls. “The Olders are dangerous,” they say. “They come to eat us children!”
Even worse, rumour has it, the adults have fully become monsters, mutated by their own stresses and frustrations, and attack anyone on sight.

What will you do when one crosses your path?

Will you fight? Or defeat them with well-worded whispers?

Developed and published by Onion Games, Stray Children will be released in the West for PC and Nintendo Switch in 2025.
