A little over a month ago, Eastasiasoft announced it would be publishing Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 in Asia for Nintendo Switch. Now, the company has announced that it will also publish its sequel, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 Sisters Generation, for the console in Asia. These games, and the third in the series, were meant to launch for Nintendo Switch in the West through Idea Factory International, but Nintendo wouldn’t let the game near its console without changes that Idea Factory were not willing to compromise on. With the first two games set to be released for Nintendo Switch, is a third announcement inevitable?
This version of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 Sisters Generation is a remake that includes English and Traditional Chinese text, voiceovers in English and Japanese, and a wealth of DLC as extras. Take on the role of Neptune’s sister, Nepgear, as she investigates the disappearance of the CPU goddesses with IF and Compa. The JRPG features 3D combat, dungeon exploration, crafting, and customization. It will launch digitally and physically in the coming months.

In the year 20XX, Gamindustri faces a dire crisis! Ever since the advent of ASIC, the Arfoire Syndicate of International Crime, morality has all but vanished. As much as 80 percent of all students are rumored to worship a being known as Arfoire, the authorities have chosen to turn a blind eye to the threat. Thus did Gamindustri fall into complete and utter disarray, with the CPUs nowhere to be found!
It falls to Neptune’s younger sister Nepgear, along with IF and Compa to investigate what happened to Neptune and the rest of their friends. Will the goddesses and goddess candidates be able to reclaim their world from ASIC’s grasp, or will they be forced to wander the Gamindustri Graveyard forever? Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth2 SISTERS GENERATION is a remake of the cult classic JRPG series’ second entry, now with all prior extras included, making it the definitive way to enjoy the game for newcomers and long-time fans alike!
The game will be available digitally through Nintendo’s eShop and physically. Physical Standard copies will be available through select retailers in Asia and online through Playasia. Players who want a physical copy have a couple options: standard or limited edition, and with an Asian or English cover. Physical Limited Editions will be available through Playasia. Only 2,000 Limited Editions will be produced; each includes a physical copy of the game, a manual, a soundtrack CD, an art book, Joy-Con stickers, a mini case, acrylic standees, a numbered certificate, and a collector’s box. Limited Edition pre-orders begin Thursday, June 5th at 11:00 pm Hong Kong time.
