I’m not sure what creeps me out more, doppelgängers or clones. But It Has My Face might make me Team Clone, considering your clone is trying to kill you. The first-person horror roguelite game is being developed by indie studio/sibling duo NightByte Games and described as a procedural nightmare. In a dystopian city, you must hunt your clone and kill it before the reverse becomes realized. Canadian powerhouse studio Behaviour Interactive has announced that it will publish It Has My Face, launching in Early Access via Steam later this year.
It Has My Face is a procedurally-generated experience that combines the genres of horror, thrillers, roguelites, and social deception games. It is you versus your clone is a deadly case of cat and… cloned cat? Uncover the story behind clones in this strange, dystopian reality, revealing the truth about these imposters while trying to slay your own. Along the way, you’ll unlock new tactics to survive threats, but that also comes with new dangers, enemies, and challenges.
While lurking in a crowd, the same crowd hiding your clone, your paranoia will increase. Being hunted is no good, obviously, but killing the one hunting you can be done creatively, using a variety of tools, environmental interactions, and crowd behaviours.
Developed by NightByte Games and published by Behaviour Interactive, It Has My Face will be released in Early Access for PC via Steam later this year. A demo is currently available via Steam.
