Tropico 6 has been available on PC for a while now (here’s our review), but we’ve been hanging out for the console release. Finally we have a date: Kalypso will drop the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 27.

The console game will be the full experience as it appeared on the PC… with optimised controls, of course. The previous Tropico worked really well on console, and there have been other simulators that have done a great job too (Cities: Skylines comes to mind), so there’s no reason to expect that this one won’t succeed as well.

It’s just a pity there isn’t a Switch version… Tropico on the go would be golden.
