Dragon Star Varnir is a really impressive effort from Idea Factory. Working within the Grimm Bros-style fairy tale structure, Dragon Star Varnir is a rich JRPG with a superb combat system, excellent character design, amazing music, and a sublime vision.

Once upon a time Idea Factory was synonymous with B-grade games and fan service. The fan service has remained, but the publisher really is starting to push into a higher echelon of game development with projects like this.

Look forward to my full review on later today, but in the meantime, here’s a video looking at some of the things I love about the game.
