If you’ve ever wanted to be a commando elephant in a land ravaged by war, your time has finally come! Set to launch July 21 (in North America, it may take a little longer for our loyal readers in the Western hemisphere) is Game Freak’s new game, Tembo the Badass Elephant. No, your eyes are not deceiving you. The people behind Pokémon have a new game being published by Sega about one fiercely dressed elephant trying to save Shell City as the army cannot contain enemy forces.

Tembo the Badass Elephant is, at heart, an old-school 2D side-scrolling platformer about an unlikely hero – and don’t we all love rooting for the underdog? The game’s Steam page promises that Tembo is “the heaviest action adventure of the year…weighing in at about seven and a half tons of fun,” but with a mere 18 levels of play that could be an overstatement. Only time will tell if this elephant is as badass as the title claims!

Tembo the Badass Elephant will be available on PC via Steam, Sony’s PlayStation 4, and Microsoft’s Xbox One.
