Eastasiasoft has announced that it will be bringing the retro side-scrolling shoot ’em up Schildmaid MX digitally to consoles later this year, with the Nintendo Switch also receiving a physical release. Inspired by genre classics, Schildmaid MX combines nostalgic pixel art with innovative shield mechanics, resulting in an intense spin on bullet hell games. Strategically run into projectiles to power your starfighter’s special weaponry, turning your enemies’ firepower against them.

Physical standard and limited editions will also be released for Nintendo Switch. Only 1,000 physical Limited Editions will be available, with pre-orders opening at Playasia on Thursday, July 3rd at 11:00 pm Hong Kong time (4:00 pm UK / 11:00 am ET). The Limited Edition includes the game card, a soundtrack CD, a Joy-Con sticker set, and a numbered certificate in a collector’s box.
