As voted by you!
Through the month of November, we asked for you to vote for your favourite games of the year. You did (and in incredible numbers – thank you for that), and now it’s time to announce the finalists and the winners. Each day we’ll be revealing a new category.
If there are six games listed, then there was a tie for the 5th finalist in that category.
We’d love to hear what you think about each category, so please do let us know your thoughts in the comments!
Journey – It makes me so happy to see Journey take out this award. It’s proof that there are gamers out there that care more about hyper-real visuals, and can look beyond bloodletting. Journey is a breathtaking game and every bit the deserving winner of its accolades.
Journey might not feature hyper-real visuals, but it does feature one of the best art styles you’ll ever see. It’s over in just a couple of hours, but it’s an emotional few hours that will never be forgotten.
And it’s a remarkably simple game, but that’s why it’s so brilliant – this is an elegant and intelligent game that must be played by everyone.
