Sony has (finally) launched a web shop for the PSN, giving players the ability to buy content from their computers.

Microsoft’s Xbox Live marketplace has been active online for a good long while now. The service allows gamers to buy and then queue up content for later download onto their consoles. This was always an area where the Playstation’s online component- the PSN -was lacking as all you could really do was read a synopsis of a game in the catalog. Until now that is.

Users can now simply login with their PSN ID and bam- they’re on the web based PSN. Everything you can do on the console (except for actually downloading and playing a game) you can now do from the comfort of your desk, wherever that may be.

You can check out the online PSN shop by clicking here.
