Assassin’s Creed III trailer ignites the revolution

The new trailer for Ubisoft’s upcoming third (numbered) entry its popular Assassin’s Creed series delivers some Independence Day flavor just in time for the 4th of July.

I’m honestly not sure what the “this Fourth of July, ignite the revolution” means since there’s nothing going on with the game until the 30th of October (when it releases on consoles)- but what the hey, at least it fits the theme.

And that boxed retail edition is pretty darned nifty isn’t it? If you pick that one up (currently priced at $119.99 USD) you’ll be the proud owner of a bunch of bonus goodies like a belt buckle, a flag, and a stature of (the game’s star) Connor… oh, and the game.

There will also be a digital deluxe edition exclusively for PC gamers that will include some really cool extras as well. Download this one and you’ll be on the receiving end of a trio of extra missions, some new skins, and George Washington’s Notebook. The digital book will be something that longtime AC fans will definitely want to check out too, as it’ll be loaded with background on the latest events in the Assassin’s Creed universe. The digital deluxe edition will be available sometime in November for $64.99 USD.
