If you’re looking for exploration, crafting, and friendship, look no further than cute and cozy Terra Memoria. But it is more than just that: it features story-rich exploration, turn-based combat, puzzles, and side quests such as cooking and crafting. I initially took a shining to the game during the Guerrilla Collective Showcase 2023. From a French developer (La Moutarde) and a French publisher (Dear Villagers), Terra Memoria will be released for PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox later this month.
It’s time to start your adventure! Oh… wait… is it? Because there’s another crystal shortage. And your train was cancelled. And robots are attacking?! Since that’s all going on, might as well forfeit the planned adventure and start investigating all the new stuff here instead. And you’re the perfect fit for the mission. So get to it!
Terra Memoria welcomes you with six lovable characters, a world of crazy inhabitants, exploration, fighting, construction, and puzzles. Visit the past and the present to discover who controls the crystals, why the robots are attacking, and if everything is linked (you know it totally is). Take your time, take every path, and meet everyone.
Every day ends by setting up camp with the handyman and the blacksmith while the summoner and the sorcerer will cook the night’s dinner. While heating up by the fire, hear stories of a shapeshifter while a bard plays tunes. It all sounds simply sublime.
The game features a unique construction tool that changes the world and solves puzzles. Craft everything from buildings to decorations, and construct a village. Even after the adventuring and world-shaping and village-crafting, there’s still more to do with the Regional Guide. Every bit of found information is good to add, whether it be a local recipe, a mayor’s portrait, or a real fake treasure map. There may be clues hidden among the things that may seem random.
Developed by La Moutarde and published by Dear Villagers, Terra Memoria will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series on March 27.
