E3 Trailer: Your reminder that there’s an adorable Tsum Tsum game on the way

Disney’s Tsum Tsum are delightful. They’re a range of collectible stuffed toys that are shaped as round cylinders, covering the entire range of Disney characters, and these things are very, very collectible. So much more so than those useless Funko Pop figures. Japan in particular has a strong affection for them, and every time I head over to a Disney shop there, I see people buying them in droves.

Tsum Tsum doesn’t quite have the same brand impact out here in the west, but nonetheless, Bandai Namco is localising a minigame compilation featuring the Tsum Tsum characters and, you know what? It looks so charming. Disney Tsum Tsum Festival didn’t get air time in the Nintendo Direct this time around, but there is a new E3 trailer that shows off the range of minigames, and while minigame compilations don’t exactly have the best reputation, this one looks like it’ll buck the trend and be one of the better party experiences.

In addition to a version of the popular mobile phone puzzle game, there’s minigames as varied as dancing, curling, shooting, racing, and air hockey… and you’ll be playing them all to collect coins and earn even more of the adorable Tsum Tsums.

This one isn’t long away now, and is due exclusively on Nintendo Switch.
