Is 2018 the year of fighting games? Also realism in games and The Caligula Effect (Digitally Uploaded 2018, Episode #6)

It has already been an incredible year for fighting games, what with that Dragon Ball one, Dissidia, and niche stuff like Under Night and Slice, Dice & Rice. And Soul Calibur VI is just on the horizon! So we talk about that this week.

We also chat about realism in games and how it’s probably not a good idea for developers to promise “realism” when that’s impossible to deliver.

Finally, we take a close look at The Caligula Effect this week; a PlayStation Vita exclusive originally that was announced for a PlayStation 4 remaster last year. We do hope the game gets a second look this time around (if it gets localised at all).
