One of the best Aussie games is console-bound!

Black Lab Games’ Star Hammer: The Vanguard Prophecy is a really, really good tactics strategy game. In both my reviews of the PC and iOS versions I lauded the game for its in-depth tactics system, as well as the way it captures the visual aesthetic of airship battles in space.

And now the game is inbound to console. Out on the Xbox One this week, and the PlayStation 4 within the week (in all probability), Star Hammer: The Vanguard Prophecy is now set to be one of the real multi-platform hits to come from Australia in recent years.

We’ll do our best to get a review for this up shortly, as we’re quite keen to see how the controls hold up with a controller. If it works (and we have no reason to believe it won’t), this could set some precedents to suggest a wide range of other strategy games have no excuse not to come across themselves.

In the meantime, we have a new trailer to share, so enjoy!
