Inspired by an unrealistic amount of hours playing the likes of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Megaman, Metroid, and Limbo, Memories is a confident mixture of action, puzzle-platforming, and a forebodingly dark atmosphere that will have you reminiscing of your formative gaming years (while playfully punching your perseverance in the windpipe with the only difficulty mode it offers: hard).

You’ll have an unlimited number of lives in Memories, which is probably a blessing since you’ll be using logic and skill and – when those fail – the always tried and true method of trial and error to solve puzzles, destroy enemies, and shame the bosses who thrive within the melancholy landscape.

With the current success of games that amazingly mix classic styles and game play with unique, modern identities, we’ll be keeping an eye on the development of this reminiscent love letter by the two gents at 2brosoft.
