There’s a comic/ manga drawing app heading the 3DS’ way in Japan, and it’s something we badly want to see localised across the world, because it looks awesome.

Comic Studio comes with all the features that you need to design awesome comics; including a host of different panel options and the ability to scale the brush right down to a single pixel in width for the finest of fine details.

You’ll also be able to take photos using the 3DS cameras and use them as reference for your own drawings. Then it’s time to drag and drop the speech bubbles in, and you’ve got yourself a full comic ready to show friends and family.

The app itself is able to save 6,400 pages, but, of course, that would be worthless if you couldn’t share your completed work with friends and family… well, with this app you can! Simply save completed pages to the SD card as .jpgs and copy them over to the computer.

The 3DS has plenty of other quality creativity apps, such as Colors! 3D and Art Academy, but this one is much more focused, and perhaps the most exciting for that reason; you’re going to be able to create some genuinely interesting and high-quality comics with this app, so fingers crossed it makes the trip across the ocean.
