What kind of an anniversary celebration is a garage sale? The kind that thanks gamers for their patronage with some awesome price cuts – digitally of course.

For one week only, the developer of Bard’s Tale (among others) will be treating fans to discounts of up to 75 per cent off via its Digital Garage Sale. It’s all to say ‘thank you’ for helping to keep the company going for the past 10 years.

From the press release:

“inXile is in the best place since its inception thanks to the crowd funding of Wasteland 2. It feels good to have the confidence and support of the gamers and to be wholly focused on RPGs again,” said Brian Fargo, of inXile Entertainment. “And we want to celebrate our 10-year anniversary by lowering our prices to allow even more gamers to discover our titles. Although known for our RPGs we have quite a diverse catalogue in our history. Games range from Fantastic Contraption, Line Rider, Bard’s Tale, Choplifter to our most recent iOS release with Solitaire + Friends.”

Personally, I can’t wait for Wasteland 2 and I still play my iOS copy of Bard on occasion, so I’m very happy to see inXile still marching along and fighting the good fight. If you are too, and you missed some of their games along the way, hit up one of the following links to be zipped to your storefront of choice and bask in the warm glow of… (wait for it) …sale prices.

  • OK then, you got me. I've not played Bards, but I will do now. Incidentally, and very sadly, did you see the news of Mike Singleton's death? It's a sad loss to the industry; Lords of Midnight got me and many others into gaming. I think I'll honour his memory by playing it again.
