New racing game, Fireburst, promises a flaming good time (PSN, XBLA)

Zoo Entertainment is a developer/ publisher that flies under the radar somewhat, but has its name attached to some very good games.

Feelin’ hot, hot hot

Fireburst, to be available for download on PC, PlayStation Network and XBLA this US Summer looks like it’ll be another feather in the cap. A racing game powered by the Unreal Engine 3, the game features more than 15 maps and 16 cars.

The unique point of differentiation is the ability to “Fireburst” – a new way of keeping your opponents at bay.

The game is being given a budget price of $US9.99 for the PSN version, or 800 Microsoft Points for XBLA, so with any luck, it’ll be a surprise hit when it’s available in a few months.

In the meantime, enjoy the screenshots, and make sure you pop into our forums to discuss what you think of the game!

  • Hi Anonymous,

I agree. I'm not a massive fan of racing games, so I tend to buy the budget games when they're around, just so I can have something for those moments where I do feel like a racing game.

At $10, this should be well worthwhile.
