Croteam and Devolver Digital have announced The Talos Principle 3, the last chapter in the critically beloved, thought-provoking puzzle series. The game will take you on a cosmic journey across a dozen worlds, testing your mind with all-new challenges. It will be released for PC and PlayStation 5, and no date was announced other than “soon.”

To date, the series has three titles, one of which is a “reimagining.” The Talos Principle launched in 2014, and it took nine years to release The Talos Principle 2, with deeper storytelling, larger environments, and better puzzle variety. Finally, the developers updated the first title for a new generation in 2025 with The Talos Principle: Reawakened. The Talos Principle 3 concludes the trilogy.

At the beginning of the game, you are confused to find yourself in a contradictory world of crumbling temples and abandoned science outposts. This is the Anomaly, the one place in the entire universe where the laws of physics aren’t quite right. Some people believe it is heaven. Others believe it is hell. Either way, judgment awaits.

Your memory is touch-and-go, but you did come here for a purpose. While solving increasingly difficult puzzles, relive your life and the history of the world, created by humanity.

Developed by Croteam and published by Devolver Digital, The Talos Principle 3 will be released for PC via Steam and PlayStation 5.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
