Two of The Legend of Heroes: Trails games launch for PS5 and NSW2 this year

NIS America has announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero and The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure will be launching for PlayStation 5 and Switch 2 this autumn. These versions feature performance enhancements, including 4K resolution, 120 frames per second, and mouse input support on Switch 2. The games will be available separately (digitally) or together (physically).

In The Legend of Heroes: Trails from Zero, Lloyd returns to his hometown to join the Crossbell Police Department. He is assigned to a new division, the Special Support Section, which handles odd jobs and minor requests. Crossbell is the site of an ongoing territorial struggle between the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Calvard.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails to Azure takes place a few months after the events of Trails from Zero. The city is (temporarily) at peace, and the Special Support Section has become famous for its heroic actions. The peace doesn’t last long, thanks to the growing tensions of the increasing pressure from the Erebonian Empire and the Republic of Calvard. Crossbell will soon become the stage for a climactic conflict.

Paradox Interactive is publishing Transport Fever 3

Paradox Interactive has announced that it will publish Urban Games’ transport-sim sequel, Transport Fever 3. A press release shares that both companies “have identified a natural overlap in their design pillars and in their fanbases.” The agreement benefits both companies. While Paradox gains the publishing rights, the IP stays with the developer.

Here is a description of the game, via Paradox Interactive:

Transport Fever 3 challenges players to design, build, and manage transport empires spanning railways, roads, shipping lanes, and air routes across four distinctive environments: temperate, desert, tropical and new sub-arctic. Each environment offers a unique set of challenges and gameplay possibilities thanks to massively upgraded terrain generation, all supporting a dynamic, fully simulated world occupied by settlements and industries that evolve in response to player actions. Players can build their worlds using vehicles covering a century of transport innovation with over 250 authentic trains, buses, trams, trucks, ships, planes, and, for the first time, helicopters.

Developed by Urban Games and published by Paradox Interactive, Transport Fever 2 will be released for PC via Steam/Epic, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series later this year.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
