Kings Quest has returned, and best of all… it’s free!

Eight years in the making, King’s Quest III Redux: To Heir Is Human is a free download for PC and Mac.

The game features hand-painted SVGA graphics and a point-and-click interface. Developers, AGD Interactive, has recruited actor Robert Adamson to star as Gwydion, and while the basic gameplay has been left largely untouched, it does include a number of original puzzles to give veterans something new to look at.
It looks like AGD Interactive is hoping to use the popularity of this title to launch it into commercial projects – Kings Quest III Redux will be the last free release. The company is planning a 2012 release of Mage’s Initiation, an adventure puzzle game with RPG elements.
