Minami Lane developer Doot and publisher Seaven Studio have announced that their cozy bug-collecting adventure game, Kabuto Park, will launch for consoles next week. This release celebrates the game’s one-year anniversary on PC. Nintendo Switch players will even be able to use the Joy-Con’s gyroscope, waving it like a net to collect in-game bugs.
Here is a description of the game, via Doot and Seaven Studio:
Kabuto Park is a cute and short bug collection game. Spend a month as Hana, a little girl on summer vacation. Catch the best bugs and level them up, choose your team carefully and fight other kids to become the Summer Beetle Battles champion.
Key features:
- A short creature collector: With 2 to 4 hours of playtime, this game is a perfect snack for an afternoon or a few sessions here and there
- Simple game mechanics: A relaxing capture mini game, little bug battles with a simple deck building gameplay, a light upgrade system and a levelling system to upgrade your favourite critters.
- A cozy mood: Summer vibes, childlike wonder, cute art and lovely music!
- The cutest bugs: Bugs from all around the world are here and ready to become your friend. You can even pet them in your terrarium!
Developed by Doot and published by Seaven Studio, Kabuto Park will be released for Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, and Xbox One on May 28. It is currently available for PC via Steam.
