Another Eden Begins is a time-travelling turn-based JRPG whose development is being spearheaded by Studio Prisma, a team under the Wright Flyers Studios banner led by RPG veteran Masato Kato (Chrono Trigger, Xenogears). The game continues Another Eden’s story-rich, timespace-bending multiverse with a new cast of characters. It also comes complete with full English voiceovers for the main story. It is set to launch for PC and Nintendo Switch consoles later this year.

“Masato Kato’s storytelling is second to none, and Another Eden Begins will be just as unforgettable as our previous work,” says Shinnosuke Hirasawa, Head of Studio Prisma, in a press release. “We have much more information to share in the near future. Stay tuned!”

Here is a description of the game, via WFS:

The main story is a richly woven tale with full voice acting, accompanied by a main theme song composed by Yasunori Mitsuda and music incorporating traditional folk instruments and an orchestra by Procyon Studios! Strategic command battles rely on building parties around characters’ roles and synergies to unleash additional skills! Use the power of Another Force to execute devastating attacks and edge closer to victory! After completing the main story, another adventure awaits with New Game+! All of the characters retain their strength for this new journey as actions and choices determine which of over 10 endings will unfold!

The story follows Aldo and Feinne, his younger sister. They enjoy a peaceful life in the idyllic village of Baruoki — until Feinne is taken by the Beast King! Aldo follows them into the Moonlight Forest, but after a fierce battle with a beast, he goes through a tear in spacetime and finds himself 800 years in the future. He will meet 18 unique characters and learn more about them through quests. When Aldo is the one to initiate the battle, the player can create their own party.

Developed by Studio Prisma (a team under the Wright Flyer Studios brand) and published by WFS, Another Eden Begins will be released for PC, Switch 2, and Switch this (Northern) summer.

She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
