Paul Raschid’s latest FMV game, The Run, launched for iOS/Android in October 2025. Now, the horror-thriller is set to expand its reach by launching for PC early next month. Paul Raschid is known for blurring the lines between film and video games, and The Run promises to do the same. In addition to its mobile release, the game had an interactive cinema residency in London, where audiences could vote for critical story decisions using glow sticks. (I would give anything to experience something like that!)

The game is set along a remote running trail in Northern Italy and follows a famous fitness influencer on her morning run that spirals into a fight for survival. Killers are hunting her for no apparent reason. Players make decisions during key parts of the game, shaping what happens in real-time. The cast is led by Roxanne McKee and George Blagden (who was fabulous in Raschid’s last game, Hello Stranger), with special appearances from horror icon Dario Argento and screen legend Franco Nero.

Here are The Run’s key features, via PRM Games:

  • Choice-Driven Narrative with five dramatically different endings
  • Timed & Paused Choices for solo play or live audience participation
  • 20 Unique Deaths determined entirely by player decisions
  • Dynamic Story Map revealing every branching path
  • Over 3½ Hours of Filmed Content merging cinema and gameplay into one seamless experience
  • A New Era of Interactive Entertainment where storytelling, gaming and cinema collide

“What excites me most about The Run is how it shows that interactive cinema is becoming its own powerful form of entertainment,” says Paul Raschid, writer and director of The Run, in a press release. “We’re no longer just borrowing from games or film, we’re creating something new that sits between them. The Run is intense, emotional, terrifying and deeply personal because the audience isn’t passive. You’re inside the story, making life-or-death decisions as it unfolds. I think players are ready for this new kind of experience, and I can’t wait for PC audiences to step into it.”

Developed and published by PRM Games, The Run will be released for PC via Steam on February 5. It is currently available for iOS/Android.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
