MySims: Cozy Bundle launches for two more consoles tomorrow

Containing the remastered versions of two Wii games, MySims and MySims Kingdom, MySims: Cozy Bundle originally launched for Nintendo Switch in November 2024, before releasing for PC and Apple Arcade this year. The compilation will be completing its circuit of all major contemporary consoles this week as it launches for PlayStation and Xbox.

MySims games aren’t your typical Sim games. There are still numerous customization options, of course, but they more closely resemble adventure or city-building games versus life simulation. In MySims, players rebuild a town; in MySims Kingdom, players help restore a magical land with multiple islands. Befriend cute characters with big personalities, uncover stories, and discover new locations.

The game’s key features, via Electronic Arts, include:

  • Play Two Charming Stories – Relax with charming tales of creativity and discovery. Explore two worlds full of puzzles to solve, locations to unlock, and quirky townies in need of help.
  • Customize Cute Sims and Decorate Their Worlds – Create adorable Sims and customize the worlds around them! Unlock clothes and build options as you complete different tasks; there are so many options to discover in both games.
  • Befriend Cute Characters – Meet funny, friendly characters filled with personality! Some will be with you the whole time, and others you’ll meet as you play and explore. Help them, and they’ll inspire you to get even more creative. You’re not only building houses, you’re building communities of memorable, adorable townies!

Developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts, MySims: Cozy Bundle will be released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series on November 18.

Pokémon Pokopia will be released in March 2026

The Pokémon Company has announced a March 2026 launch date for adventure/life sim game Pokémon Pokopia. In addition, it released a 10-minute extended trailer for the game. In Pokémon Pokopia, players take on the role of a Ditto that has transformed to resemble a human. They meet Professor Tangrowth, who lives alone in an area where humans and Pokémon once inhabited; they are also equipped with human tools. After seeing the withered grass and trees, Ditto decides to rebuild the area by crafting items and learning moves from other Pokémon.

Players can personalize their Ditto-human’s look with different hairstyles and outfits, and can customize their surroundings using crafted items and furniture. Learn moves from various Pokémon, allowing them to create habitats where different Pokémon may appear. For example, use Bulbasaur’s Leafage to make grass grow, and keep it healthy with Squirtle’s Water Gun. The more nature flourishes, the more Pokémon will appear. Interact with the Pokémon by playing jump rope, lighting fires, and teaming up to build houses. Sometimes, Pokémon come to the player with requests to enhance their environment. Other requests are tied to solving larger problems.

From The Pokémon Company, and developed by Game Freak and Koei Tecmo, Pokémon Pokopia will be released for Switch 2 on March 5, 2026. While there are digital and physical copies, the physical copies only come with a game-key card and not an actual cartridge.

Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack no longer coming West

Y’all, this one’s a serious bummer. XSEED Games has cancelled its Western release of Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack. Nintendo apparently took issue with the contents of the games, which is just whacky considering the compilation of titles released in Japan just fine. The Japanese version does have English language support. It includes Corpse Party (the 2021 re-release), Corpse Party, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash, and Corpse Party: Blood Drive.

Here is XSEED Game’s X post regarding the cancelled release, as I will not be posting a link.

We know how much you were anticipating the release of the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack. Though we previously released entries in the Corpse Party series on console platforms and digital storefronts in the west, we were informed that the contents of several games in the Tetralogy Pack did not comply with current platform guidelines. As a result, we are unable to release these games as intended and have subsequently canceled the physical release of Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack, as well as the digital offerings of previously unreleased Corpse Party games featured in the Tetralogy Pack.

We apologize for any confusion and disappointment this may have caused. We remain committed to working with our partners at MAGES. to bring Corpse Party II: Darkness Distortion to the west and will share more details on its release when we can. Thank you for your understanding and continued support of XSEED Games and the Corpse Party franchise.

Lindsay picked up an NES controller for the first time at the age of 6 and instantly fell in love. She began reviewing GBA games 20 years ago and quickly branched out from her Nintendo comfort zone. She has has developed a great love of life sims and FMV titles. For her, accessibility is one of the most important parts of any game (but she also really appreciates good UI).
