Digitally Downloaded reports on the release date for GrimGrimoire Oncemore

For many years now Vanillaware has been one of the rare mid-sized developers that has been able to ply its trade with complete creative independence. Given that this has resulted in masterpieces like 13 Sentinels, it is a good thing that the company hasn’t been gobbled up or gone bust. The company’s next game brings it right back to its roots, and it comes out early next year.

GrimGrimoire OnceMore is a remaster of the original GrimGrimoire, a unique side-scrolling experience that was released way back in 2007 on the PlayStation 2 in Japan and then localised for the west in 2011.

The game follows protagonist Lillet Blan’s attendance of Silver Star Tower, a renowned academy for magicians. Along the way, she encounters secrets, monsters, and other dangers within the tower’s walls as she attempts to explore and discover its well-kept secrets. This is much more than a simple HD remaster, too, and will feature a new, modern skill tree, updated UI, art gallery, and more!

We won’t have to wait much longer for it! Vanillaware and NIS America (publisher) have announced that GrimGrimoire OnceMore will be out on the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch from April 4th to 7th, depending on your region.
