13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim – Why I love this game

I really think 13 Sentinels will be one of my favourite games. Vanillaware’s latest is a brilliant blend of art, apocalypse, time travel, science fiction, character narrative and tower defence… and somehow, for wearing all those hats (and then more) it’s all cohesive.

For this preview stage I’ve only played through the prologue, but I’m left aching for more, and unless things fall away dramatically, I can’t see this being anything but a real triumph for the medium.

In this video, I share some of the moments from the prologue and discuss what has immediately grabbed my attention. Is this game on your radar? Be sure to let me know in the comments!
