Spirit of the North: A beautiful attempt to recapture Journey’s magic

Spirit of the North has released on the Nintendo Switch and PC, having previously been released on PlayStation 4 (I mention in my video that it’s on Xbox One. It’s not, sorry about that!). It’s a gorgeous, heartfelt game that takes heavy inspiration from Journey, and that’s by no means a bad game to be inspired by.

Sadly the game’s also a little too beholden to its inspiration, as I discuss in this video. It’s still a lovely game, but it’s certainly not destined to be remembered like Journey is.
