Fugi&gumi Games launching Phantom of the Kill in the West

Ever played a genuinely great free-to-play mobile game? If your answer is no, you’re not alone. If you’re answer is yes, you’ve probably played Chain Chronicle. For those who haven’t, Chain Chronicle is a line defence game featuring hundreds of characters with their own individual story arcs. Matt shocked us all by giving a free-to-play game a 4.5 star review, and so began our love affair with the developer.

At the Tokyo Game Show last week, gumi Inc. announced that they’re at it again: Japanese hit mobile game Phantom of the Kill is getting a Western release later this year. And this year is only a few months longer. And that means it will be launched soon! Phantom of the Kill is a strategy RPG set far in the future where legendary weapons are actually warriors questing to restore justice. Here’s a nice long trailer to whet your appetite:

Along with the TGS announcement, Fugi&gumi Games have also released some character concept art.

This is the first global title by Fugi&gumi Games. Phantom of the Kill will be released for iOS and Android devices.
