LKA announces The Town of Light

LKA, an independent Italian game studio, has revealed The Town of Light. Described as a first-person psychological thriller, the game takes place in an abandoned psychiatric hospital. LKA confirms that the game is partially inspired by true events at a European asylum. You play through the eyes of Renée, a teenage girl diagnosed with schizophrenia who was a patient at the hospital. The Town of Light seems super creepy, and it has the possibility of being an exhilarating and terrifying experience. It’s expected to be released for PC, Mac, and Linux in Q3 with native support for Oculus Rift.

Zelda manga makes a comeback after seven years

After a seven-year break (did somebody break a mirror and run into a string of bad luck?) manga duo Akira Himekawa are back with more of The Legend of Zelda series, expected to be released later this year. The official Zelda Twitter account (@ZeldaOfficialJP) posted the following teaser image earlier this week:

Batman: Arkham Knight DLC is coming! And soon!

Well, assuming you weren’t one of the unlucky ones whose hopes hinged upon the PC version functioning properly. Titled Batgirl: A Matter of Family, the story occurs prior to the events of Arkham Knight and follows Barbara Gordon. The DLC includes a new location as well as new story missions, side quests, and extras. Season pass holders can begin playing on June 14, and those who want to purchase it separately can get their hands on it June 21.

Shenmue 3 Kickstarter gets a new reward tier with physical copies for PS4

For those who want to invest in Shenmue III for PS4 via Kickstarter but would prefer to have a physical copy of the game (I know you’re out there!), this news is for you. Previously, tiers included digital copies of the game or a physical copy for PC only. A new tier has been added at the same price point as the PS game, except you’ll get the PS4 version instead. With just over a week left of the campaign, now’s the time to jump on board! The Shenmue III Kickstarter is currently at over 200% of its original goal and can be found here.
