WiZmans World Re;Try, an HD remaster of a tactical RPG, was released in Japan for PlayStation and Nintendo Switch in May 2024. Today, Clear River Games announced that it will bring the game West for PC and consoles in February 2026. WiZmans World was a Jaleco game that launched in 2010 for the Nintendo DS. This new version has been remastered for contemporary platforms, and features enhanced 2D pixel graphics and sound.
In the game, the city of Wizarest is cut off from the outside world (and has been for a century). Living in isolation, its citizens are stripped of their memories and surrounded by dungeons crawling with monsters. Players step into the shoes of a young wizard, Claus, who has just become of age and can begin his dungeon exploring career. His adoptive mother disappeared a month ago when she went into a dungeon, and Claus vows to uncover the mystery.
People have been trying to navigate the dungeons for years, and people have been failing to find an exit for just as long. Claus’ adoptive mother left him three artificial magical beings to help him in the perilous dungeons, where he will discover the secret behind all the memory loss and confront the source of the world’s decay. These companions can absorb the souls of defeated monsters and evolve through “Anima Fusion”, allowing you to tailor them to suit your needs.
Developed by City Connection and Lancarse, and published in the West by Clear River Games, WiZmans World Re;Try will be released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on February 19, 2026.
