If you haven’t picked yourself up a copy of Deadly Premonition yet, then I must admit I’m a little disappointed in you. It’s one of the most creative and intelligent games ever developed, after all.

But, if for some reason you have held off, then some news today should make you happy; it’s gone cheap on the PlayStation Network, with a permanently reduced price of $US19.99.

This divisive game continues to polarise people who play it, but it’s among the strongest arguments for the idea that games have artistic merit. Puzzling out what the game means is almost as much a part of the experience as shooting the dead things.

So, now is as good time as ever to take a risk and experience one of the truly unique games of this generation.
