I suspect that this bit of news is going to rile up some, but Bandai Namco has announced an all-star Tales game to be exclusive to mobile platforms.
Tales of Asteria is a wholly new story featuring Tales characters from previous games. We’re talking Cress, Lloyd, Luke, Yuri, Sophie, and Milla. That’s a pretty darned awesome lineup of characters, and I’m rather looking forward to seeing Sophie and Milla team up to lay the smack down on a range of enemies.
We’re being promised a full production, complete with voice acting and a specially-tailored touch-only combat system that Bandai Namco is calling “cross slide battle.”

The recent free-to-play port of Tales of Phantasia wasn’t exactly well regarded by the Tales faithful, so fingers crossed that the developers have learned from that experience, and Tales of Asteria is a better realised experience.
