Arkane Studios and Bethesda announced a trio of add-on packs for the hit first-person-assassinator Dishonored today.

Starting things off for the add-ons, Dunwall City Trials will arrive in December bringing a pretty substantial infusion of ten challenge maps.

Dishonored: Dunwall City Trials, being released in December for $4.99 (or 400 Microsoft Points), will include 10 challenge maps that will test and track your combat, stealth and mobility skills. Ten distinct trials await challengers – including an arena battle against waves of enemy AI, a gravity-defying run of drop assassinations, and a race against the clock. Dunwall City Trials also features a whole new set of achievements and trophies as well as a global online leaderboard that will establish the greatest assassins for each challenge.

The remaining pair of packs are even more interesting, even though details are pretty limited about them right now. Both of the 2013 additions are scheduled to be single-player focused with more story content for the game.

Supernatural assassins (other than Corvo that is) are the focus of ‘The Whalers’, which will be pack 2.

Daud, the leader of a group of supernatural assassins known as ‘The Whalers’, will be the focus of the second add-on pack, scheduled for release in early Spring 2013. Make your way through new Dunwall locales and discover Daud’s own set of weapons, powers and gadgets in this story-driven campaign. How you play and the choices you make will impact the final outcome…

The third pack is a total mystery as of right now (though that will, again, be a single player affair), as is the pricing for both. Look for all that good stuff to be revealed as we get into the new year and a little closer to release.

Dunwall City Trials will be out soon (no firm date yet though) and Dishonored is available now for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC.
