It’s a free Gotham on the PC

Batman-themed FPS Gotham City Impostors makes its PC debut the best way- free.

The multiplayer shooter casts players as a member of one of two gangs (the Bats or the Jokerz) as they vie for supremacy over the back alleys of Gotham City in up to 12 player matches.

Gotham City Impostors was developed by veteran studio Monolith (Blood!) and has been available for a while now on the Xbox 360 and PS3. It’s also seen a decent amount of support since its release and has gotten a fair amount of acclaim from players and critics.

Downloading the free version of the game may not get you in on the entire experience, but it will provide a good start; and give you some idea of whether or not you want in for the all the various expansions and add-ons that are offered alongside it.

Those who download the Gotham City Impostors Free To Play via the Steam client will have access to the original game, as well as all DLC packs, which includes new maps, weapons, mascots and more. Players will also experience join-in-progress matchmaking that ensures gamers are placed into populated matches.

You can check out the free version of the game (as well as the paid DLC) here on the Steam storefront.

  • Yeah, when the reviews started coming out for Gotham City Imposters I heard a lot about how people felt like they were getting tricked into buying a free-to-play title. And now GCI is actually free to play, so I guess I will eventually try the title out.
